QUESTIONS

Do you travel?

Absolutely! I’m based in Melbourne, Victoria, but I love travelling and am happy to travel to all corners of the world to photograph your wedding (or anything for that matter!) For more information, the best thing to do is just get in touch with me and we can have a chat about the details.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET OUR PHOTOS?

During peak wedding season you can expect your photo collection ready within 6 weeks of the big day but I will send you a few little sneak peaks shortly after your wedding. During the colder months you can expect your collection a lot sooner.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET OUR PHOTOS?

If possible, avoid the middle of the day when the sun is directly overhead (usually 11am – 3pm) because this harsh light can cause unflattering shadows and highlights on everyone’s faces. Try to schedule your bridal photos for a time of day when the sun is at a lower angle (the last hour of light before sunset is brilliant!) For winter weddings, it’s best to have an earlier ceremony or, alternatively, have your portraits taken before the ceremony because it can get dark fast. It can take a lot of pressure off and give you more time to mingle with your guests.

Will we meet in person before the big day?

I love being able to get to know you before the big day. Having more of a connection is great since you’re more likely to relax and enjoy the session with me, plus I have a better idea of your personalities and how capture them on camera! If it’s not possible to meet in person (due to a busy schedule or you living interstate/overseas), we can always do a phone or Skype chat.

I'm camera shy, will you guide us?

You’re not alone. Most of us feel a bit awkward when we need to pose for photos, which is why my job is to relax you and all you have to worry about it having fun! Oh, and I’ll give you as much direction as you need to create natural, flattering poses that have you and your bridal party looking your absolute best.

What is a first look?

A first look is a moment “set up” by a wedding photographer for the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony, allowing the photos to catch that magical first reveal which tends to be very emotional and special. Normally, a bride and groom would meet with their wedding photographer on site away from family and friends to give them privacy and to make that moment just for them.

I believe that there are absolutely no rules when it comes to weddings, it’s a celebration that should reflect your relationship. You can get ready separately or together – it’s all up to you. I personally got ready with my husband (and our fur baby!) before our own wedding and it was one of my favourite moments of the day. And yep, we still blubbered all the way through our ceremony… just in case you thought it would ruin the magic!

This is your day, so you need to do whatever feels right for you and I’m happy to support you in whatever that may be.

How do we secure a booking with you?

Once we’ve had the chance to either meet up (or at least get to know each other over the phone) let me know that you’re ready to book and I’ll send you the paperwork for to read through and sign. That will also include my bank details so you can transfer a 30% security deposit, guaranteeing our availability on the date requested. The final payment will be due four weeks before your wedding.
